Almost year after, one very special dog arrived and helped me to finish mourning completely. She turned out to be one of the most titled and show-succesful saluki - Aziz Chana.
I love her diva personality to the moon and back; she's definitely dog of my life. Hopefully, she will also become my foundation bitch...
Finally, Famerelle Bold as Brass came to charm everyone around himself.
This adorable yet playful and well-behaving male came from Norway, completing our saluki pack - at least for some time... :D
Here at Lilen's, dogs are mostly our family members, our friends with whom we share the joys and sorrows of everyday life.
Well, not only that, but also our couches and beds :D
We greatly enjoy our pets' companionship, so we do our bests to adjust our schedules to meet their needs.
Besides regular walks, our dogs are able to run freely in safe environments as often as possible.
Dog shows are a great part of our philosophy. They cannot exist without breeders, BUT breeders should not exist without them either.
For us, shows are an invaluable 'tool' - there is no better way to learn about the breed and individual dogs than by observing them in person, rather than only in pictures or videos.
However, while showing, the dogs' well-being must always come first.
Taking all of the above into consideration, our dogs are socialised since the very first moments. We also carry out regular health checks regularly and do breed related examinations, even when they are not obligatory for breeding approval.
Of course you can see us on shows here and there, as we truly enjoy them.
And so do our dogs ;)
Welcome!
I got my first saluki - Hiddekel Fukkatsu - in 2018, although my interest in that breed was born since getting first book dedicated to dogs and breeds for 4th birthday. Hiddekel Fukkatsu was co-owned with his breeder, what was later abolished.
Next one was Lags Latifha Leonelle, who I lost in tragic accident a few weeks after she turned one. Lilo was very sweet, but with devil's temperament. I miss her antics to this day... Loosing Lilo was one of the most difficult struggles I went through.
Rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts was unstoppable every day for longer time.
When I was a child, the animal world was the most fascinating thing in my life. My beloved parents tried to provide me with good materials from which I would learn as much as possible. Spending a lot of my free time watching David Attenborough's movies/reading books my love for the animal kingdom grew bigger and bigger. To this day, I cannot say why I was so fascinated by nature and not cars, dinosaurs or firefighters.
In my life, dogs have been with us since I can remember. We've never really had a dog of our own, but we've helped a few of them by being foster homes. I was also a volunteer at nearby shelter and an intern at large, modern veterinary center with incredibly talented people with a lot of knowledge. Years passed, and I am still the same passionate kid (or maybe even "worse"). I love to learn and analyze – and I know I have a lot to discover.
Over the years, life has taught me not only science as a subject, but most of all, it has taught me myself.
We are a small kennel where dogs create
a family, being its the best part.
We belong to ZKwP/FCI.
